Learn how to use basic maps and mapping instruments to find your way in the woods. Basic compass directions, legends and pictorial symbols will be used to guide the student through adventures in the forest.
Grades 4 – 8: Navigation
Mapping - Orienteering
(All Seasons)
Learn how to find your way in the great outdoors and learn the fundamental skills necessary for navigating in the wilderness. Students will use a compass and a selection of maps and practices to find their way through the forest.
